The iVAC2L (PulseCath iVAC 2L) is a percutaneous Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) that provides temporary mechanical circulatory support, working like an "extra heart beat" by sucking blood from the left ventricle during systole (heartbeat) and ejecting it into the aorta during diastole (resting phase) for improved coronary and organ perfusion, using a standard Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) console for power, offering pulsatile flow during high-risk PCI or cardiogenic shock.
